HISTORY:
Picture yourself enjoying a beautiful outdoor summer wedding...or a cozy winter one in this beautiful brick Dutch Farmhouse. This house was built in 1773 by Major Ten Broeck who had purchased 1800 acres from the Livingston family. The Livingston family received a grant from the Crown; this made then one of largest land owners along the Hudson River.
This property is know as "The Calendar House". Major Ten Broeck did not keep this very long, it was sold to Henry Livingston in 1775. The Calendar House sits on 5 private acres in the Manorton area of Columbia County. The house includes 4 bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms, a formal dining room-perfect for entertaining. Large brick fireplaces, a huge screened-in porch perfect for setting up tables for smaller events, a large foyer with beautiful hand painted murals on the wall, and a large tennis court are just some of the features of this wonderful historic property. On the windows can be seen etchings from the orginal owners and on the wall a framed copy of the real estate transaction between the Ten Broecks and Livingstons.
